If Venezuela started developing nuclear weapons, would we just send them a pallet of cash?

...in exchange for their assurance that they will only develop their nuclear technology for peaceful purposes (while they repeatedly threaten to attack other nations) for ten years, and then assume we would just "renew the deal."

Or, would we take more robust, less naive, action?

If we would treat them differently, is it merely because they are closer to us?

Just some random thoughts this morning. I haven't taken this thought exercise to its conclusion.

It does occur to me that we are fine having a failed state to our south in Mexico. Hell, Americans still travel there for vacation, which is odd. We Americans just think the world will always act civilized...except for the demon Russian people.

JCPOA (see link)...unless we can reestablish that deal Iran starts the process of turning gaseous enriched uranium into actual weapons very soon...at which time Saudi Arabia goes 'ballistic' with unknown measures to counter that threat, and the rest of the world pays the 'price'...whatever that may be in terms of lives, treasure and stability, but certainly more than a "Pallet of Cash".

btw, that pallet of cash was Iran's money that we kept frozen until they agreed to inking a deal like the JCPOA...and there are good explanations (which I've already posted) as to why the return was in 'Cash'...at least know that as you perpetuate that inane 'meme'...traveling further down the path of knowledge...here is an overview of the JCPOA...

Yes. Serious. I find it reassuring that no matter what the problem or issue. It's trumps fault.

If he listened to his DOD or DOS or the Israeli security services and kept the deal going, Iran would not be closing in on the bomb.

So yes, it is Trump's fault. Sorry if you can't understand that.

I totally understand. But thanks for letting us know. Again.

The United States invaded the country to its west and the country to its east…and put it on the “axis of evil.”

If you were in charge in Tehran, you’d want nukes too.

Thread Level: 4

LOL. If the mullahs openly declared this was why gthey want nukes you would deny it.

This form of appeasement diplomacy has been proven foolish time after tiime after time.

We are higher primates who evolved killing one another over territory.

I don't sippose your would like to try apeasing Putin?

The mullahs are far far less trustworthy.

dangerous Muslim terrorist states like your leader Obama does (in this case writing a post sympathizing with their plight and ridiculously thinking that they just want to feel safe like anyone in their pursuit of nuclear weapons). They want to end Israel and the US, and they will do so at the first chance they get.

They are not like us. They are not seeking nukes because we invaded countries on each side of us. The behavior displayed by the zealots in that region resulted in those incursions (wise or not). It is the same behavior that they display. The pallets of cash were an all time embarrassment for our country and its foreign policy.

Opposition to the JCPOA is rooted in utter ignorance.

Ignorant shit costs the taxpayers nothing, and it would have the same effect as sending a pallet of unmarked bills at midnight. So, your proposal actually makes some sense.
