imperative to rid the world of this scourge. There are several dictators in Latin America who are starving their citizens and imprisoning many. There is China and Russia have killed thousands. Africa has been a graveyard for years.
I offer a thought that as a Christian country we can’t sit back and watch this suffering, or can we?
I not suggesting nation building, I’m suggesting get rid of the worse in partnership with our allies. Seems we are getting worse.
Thoughts.
Not very Christian I know. But I don’t recall Christ opining on self defense.
In the late 1930s we had a powerful isolationist lobby who believed we we too far away from problems in Eastern Europe… and this we were unprepared for WWII.
Other countries and live there for a while. This allows you to truly understand other countries. Otherwise please just pay more attention to your town, your county, your state, and perhaps your country if you have extra energy and time.

I also reject your implied premise: we are capable of intervention. It is just an answer yes or no we should do it.
Finally we reject your self righteous attitude expressed from your question toward the rest of world. 21% of U.S. millennial identified as LGBTQ. You call this progressive, I stick to what other countries call this: Western decadence.
So your trying to say 1/4 of the world is LBGTQ? Alright prove it. And what the Fuck does this have to do with my original post?
When you asked the question.
P.S. I said 21% of U.S. millennial identified as LBGTQ. Obviously you are not shocked by this high number. That's why you got confused by what I meant. But this high number is unbelievable to the people of non-western countries. You call this LBGTQ right, they call this Western decadence.

…when it prevents a greater evil.
If we had intervened in Rwanda, for instance, we would have had to kill people. But we would have saved a lot more people.
Where you draw the line is one of the central questions of grand strategy.
have died if we didn’t. What’s the moral equivalence?
Not sure we had to hit cities right away…but that’s a long story.
do we sit back and not get involved. Serious question. Our world is becoming a hazard for peaceful people.
Both are dictators. But if we invaded, we would make both situations worse.
The costs would far outweigh the benefits.

Any invasion would lead to many, many more deaths than anything we see now.
Costs & benefits.
In fact, we have a current administration who seems to want to follow in those countries you mentioned footsteps. Then, don't know if our allies can be trusted at any given time to have ours back. Finally, if it means spilling one teaspoon of our precious military blood, forget it. Look at American corporations and even the NBA and their partnership with China, one of those dark countries. . Unless there is 100% support from our own and our allies, I think it's a losing proposition.
