I get that he had the guts to stand up to the OCD left like no other Republican dared. Kudos!
But unlike Reagan he does not have a brilliant conservative set of regular advisors whose counsel he relies upon. He drives everyone away! He is a psychological narcissistic megalomaniac. His devoted followers blind themselves to his blatant personality disorder… as did the Germans to Hitler in the 1930s.
Romney in the sense that he refused to deviate from gentleman politician in running against Obama. I.e., he refused to call bullshit. The trade off was boarishmess in exchange for willingness to fight back.
Clinton in the sense that she was and is a horrible choice. Trump was still a better choice than her.
So, there was a rational basis to elect him at the time. There’s also an argument that he did what he said as a politician, which was novel. Downside of course was expanding narcissism and megalomania.
Now, DeSantis seems like a better option.

Name one thing Trump did in his 4 years to regular people like you that can be compared to the fascism that the left has done last 1.5 years.

What a great POTUS!
From the Cincinnati Enquirer...
------------------
This editorial board has been consistent in its criticism of his policies and temperament beginning with the Republican primary. We've condemned his childish insults; offensive remarks to women, Hispanics and African-Americans; and the way he has played on many Americans' fears and prejudices to further himself politically. Trump brands himself as an outsider untainted by special interests, but we see a man utterly corrupted by self-interest. His NARCISSISTIC bid for the presidency is more about making himself great than America. Trump tears our country and many of its people down with his words so that he can build himself up. What else are we left to believe about a man who tells the American public that he alone can fix what ails us? (emphasis mine)

It's actually important that everyone read this editorial as well as the Dallas Morning News' (see below)...they were both prescient...but while many were not, with the evidence we now have of Donald "Seditionist" Trump, everyone must now see the truth and ensure this never happens to this great country again.

and as a result, they behaved. Do you prefer what we have now?
