I think it's justified to complain about reductions in standard of living.
The fabric of our entire society is based on progression, not the regression we're currently experiencing. And the pros are in charge now, people might have questions.
And the deflection of, it's still better than the worse is funny in a dark way.
But what are you doing for the 3rd world? Any thoughts on North Korea or the China Uighurs situation? Because I think we could accept hard times if it was in pursuit of the greater good, but that's not what's happening.
This is exactly how i was educated when I was child - proud to be poor because we
hold higher value than those rich capitalists. We had bread, we had running water, we had free medicine and we had free education. We were told that's good enough and we should be satisfied. We should be proud we have soul with higher moral standards than those capitalists who have cars, TVs, refrigerators and washing machines.
