thing for the country. What is next? I guess I am going to stop making principal only payments on the mortgage since housing should be a "right" and provided by the gov't.... maybe they will start forgiving that debt as well.
one for you (see link)

Funny how one of the first points was that it would put approximately $3,000 back into the pockets of those who get the forgiveness... how exactly is that different than the bailout checks we have been receiving for the last couple of years? How did those do for this great economy we now find ourselves in? I would almost guarantee that a majority of those who benefit from this garbage will immediately go out and get another loan for a car or other major purchase that isn't required, but hey, it is free money to them now.

They could have gone to college, taking on bad debt while flunking out and partying, but they didn't, they went to work after high school...and now they are paying for the freeloaders.

has never been right in 40 yr.
It’s one thing to write off student debt in exchange for public service or non-profit service.
It’s another thing to just write off student debt as a free lunch, effectively punishing the “suckers” (parents) who worked their asses off to save for their kids’ tuition.
there. First it was the green goodies packaged as "inflation reduction act" (that will do zero to reduce inflation) and now it is the student loan forgiveness crap. I have been cash flowing my kids through college... so much for responsibility these days. What are we teaching our "leaders of tomorrow"? Just another example of how the left are trying to divide the country.
