in their last several games -
That last crash to the basket and put back seemed improbable noting the last half of the game the Irish were at about 10%
in the put back department. So, when he put that shot back up and it went in, it came more of a surprise than anything.
Good for the Irish - a great win, a hard-fought win in a comeback.
Hope they take it to Alabama.
They're chum.
Rutgers made several unbelievable (lucky?) 3s and ND was ice cold at the line. So to win with that going against the Irish means it was a good team effort otherwise.
It was difficult to believe ND had an inside presence throughout the game. If they could just complete their easy openings inside, there would not have been
need for OT. They would have won by 10 or more. It's difficult to watch missed open lay-ups and FT's from a supposed good FT shooting team. 50% from FT
line doesn't cut it. 5 turnovers was a nice improvement over their last game.
They did surprise at the end of game. I was glad to see Goodwin get his 3. Talk about timing.
And yes, the FT shooting was atrocious.
