They apparently had a unique way of judgement. Did anyone see what # they gave ND?

My understanding is we have been slowly climbing up the ladder......I went 78-82 and doubt we were top 10....surprising to hear only five years earlier we were?
Any data sources to back that up?
According to US News & World Report, ND is currently tied with Dartmouth and U-M at #7 in undergraduate education:
http://colleges.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-colleges/rankings/national-universities/undergraduate-teaching
It is skewed toward schools with strong graduate programs(weighting of published papers by faculty), larger schools (number of different subject taught), urban schools (# of international students and diversity.
For example with the exception of Dartmouth, Cornell and Williams, every school rated about ND are in large urban centers and are much larger than ND.
And as with most of the these surveys that use the concept of academic rep, there is a bias toward elite old money eastern schools.
Not much ND can do about it.

If you've spent 4 years in South Bend, you understand why.....
6 Saturdays only cover so much, and that was when we had a winning football program.
