He had both concussion and knee issues which caused him to take a medical redshirt...................will he be back?

but feel qualified to hazard a guess? Moron.
I made this post a few days ago, so it's a direct copy 'n paste.
I hope he retires.
Before y'all aim the flamethrowers in my direction, please read this first.
I want him to be a star on the field as much as the next guy does, but not at the cost of his long term health. I would love seeing him on the field, stuffing the run, grabbing a sack here and there, and showcasing his talent in front of the NFL scouts.
If someone gets held out an entire season because of concussion-related issues, then there was enough cumulative damage to put him in that danger zone. If he took another concussion, even a slight one, that would probably be enough to finish off his career, and I wouldn't want him to have suffered even more cumulative damage. Things such as dementia, etc., wouldn't show up in the near future, but 15 years down the road, it could certainly rear its ugly head if things got more severe.
I would guess that if there were any hope of Daniel Cage coming back next year, that we would have heard about some encouraging progress.
25 years ago? He would probably have been pronounced as being OK, and would return, but the medical community back then didn't know nearly as much as they do now. Even two concussions in a short time period can result in some pretty nasty long term damage.
I do hope that I'm wrong about his situation, and if I am, I'll be most happy to eat as much crow as I can put on the table.
Frankly, I'm amazed that some of the old NFL players such as Steve Young and Troy Aikman, aren't in much worse shape at this time of their lives. I still cringe when I think about the hit that Steve Young took from Aeneas Williams, after that piece of trash Lawrence Phillips casually whiffed his block, sending him into retirement...

And I doubt this board would ever stoop to the level of contests to guess whether one of ND's players has a career ending injury. You are even stupider than the original poster.
