There are other, proven receivers who are at best, second rounders, who would go ahead of ESB.
I'm not saying that it would have been impossible for him to be a 1st rounder, but that would have required two things:
1) Deshone Kizer staying for the 2017 season.
and
2) ESB not getting hammered on every pass play.
Kizer could hit receivers in stride, and threw an accurate long bomb. By hitting his WR's in stride, he'd protect them from getting clobbered the way ESB did in 2017 when Wimbush threw passes that were too high. ESB was actually lucky that he didn't break his neck last year on a couple of plays.

not make the type of effort I want to see from a star receiver. I am talking about slowing on routes and not running through the routes against Georgia, MSU, BC, and Miami. We will see maybe I have it wrong. Of course Wimbush being a QB with a strong arm without passing accuracy or touch may have really hurt him. He looked great against Texas in the opener the prior year.

It is a ridiculous mock even as mocks go. He has GB ending up with 2 1st round picks in a trade with NE and then picking a DE (when their three biggest needs are CB, LB and OL) because he wants to write an article about risky picks.
ESB will be lucky to go in 2nd much less 1st.
Would have EQ in the 1st round, the guy is scared to get hit
