With the problems BW has been having hitting the target holes in the practice net (and even the net itself at times) it is increasingly obvious that this season will be a redux of 2017 at the QB positon. Opponents will load the box and dare him to beat them through the air which he will not be able to do on a consistent basis. The practice films of him trying to complete the swing pass are a bit scary. Unless there is divine intervention, look for this season to be a carbon copy of the last one with great victories and bad beat downs depending on which BW shows up. Like a golfer with the yips the problem seems to be more mental than physical.
be a pitcher if they just get the mental aspect right? Throwing is one of the most physically challenging things one can do, because it's not natural. Wimbush might get a bit better, but he's never, NEVER, going to be Clausen accurate if he threw balls from now until doomsday. We're talking years and years of muscle memory that need to be reworked, and it ain't going to change in one off-season. I heard Steve Young say it best, "you either can throw or you can't."
The development of Golson, Zaire, and now Wimbush was/is atrocious. Kizer was marginally successful in spite of Kelly, and was smart to get the fuck out before Kelly could do further damage (except then the Browns drafted him). Everyone else either transferred or weren't good enough to keep the job (e.g., Rees). So in some respect, this is business as usual.
I don't expect any major leaps from last year.
I expect improvement. Overall, I am just guessing, he will hit some big ones with legs and arms and maybe struggle with 3rd and 4 type situations. Overall I am thinking he is a smart dude who wants to compete. I am looking for balance.

Where I disagree is that......it doesn't have to be that way. All BW needs to do is hit some deep/medium depth balls a game (a la Tony Rice) to keep D's honest. And he can do that.
Where the problem comes in is the screen and swing passes are a staple of BK's offense, and BK and changin for nobody.
So, yes, the O will struggle, but it's because ND has a system coach, not a football coach, controlling the offense.
I'm going to have to stop agreeing with you, or people will start to wonder.
