Like most of you, I thought Stanford would come in psyched up to play. These games can be won and lost on how psyched up a team is to play. ND had it this year.
Stanford did come to play, they were psyched up and they played better than they did vs Oregon...we just kicked their asses.
All this Stanford isn't any good crap is total nonsense.
We'll have to see how the Love injury impacts them going forward, but the team we played was a top 10 caliber team.
They are not a top 10 team. Top 20 maybe. They got their doors blown by a top 5 team
We kicked their ass at home for sure but we didn't just blow their doors off...it was a competitive game until we separated at the end and they are a top 10 "caliber" team.
If a team losses or plays a close game, they suck and aren't good. For as good as the school is, they can't seem to find out that schools play each other and some of them have to lose.
So if you watch enough football to be a fan and objective - there is something wrong???
Not true. I thought they weren't good before the game. VT is good. They will be 8 -2 at end of year and the Miami game is a toss up. They could be 9-2 (if they beat ND, maybe 10 - 1)

But to be honest, I don't really follow the other teams...just ND. Stanford happens to be in my backyard, so I do read up on them.

Arizona state and Washington will beat them

I hope I'm wrong this week, but VT concerns me. I think ND wins, but it'll be close. VT and the 'Cuse are the only two games left on the schedule (although the trip to San Diego doesn't thrill me).
And they have the rest of the season to improve. Too early to sleep on them.
I'm sound asleep
