First of all any kid from anywhere on that field tomorrow can flat out play IMHO, weather be damned. FSU brings a down year program with premium talent.
But I think the weather will play a roll, especially on FSU's morale and if we punch them in the mouth right out of the gate. Even you're used to it the cold fucking sucks.
FSU has a couple kids from Maryland, but everyone else is from FLA or surrounding states.
Dex is a FLA kid, but we have a lot of kids way more used to the cold weather in SB tomorrow.
or some other random dude from CHI named Jerkovic?

You dont think Alabama would come in to South Bend and kick our ass?
It's like the people on here who start whining about playing in Miami in September because it's too hot
Seriously?
I've never said anything about Alabama relative to ND in terms of overall ability.
Sorry that you're too dense to read and comprehend some basic things....like why Michigan will not pass an unbeaten ND.
I am quite sure you weren't kidding. You are always whining about anything that affects ND
And the fact you can't comprehend Michigan passing us shows just what a homer you are. I am not the only one on here that has pointed out that possibility not to mention folks in the real world
So guess what? fuck off

Lighten up guys.

Just like a northern team playing in the warm humid south, a southern team is at a disadvantage playing in the cold/windy/wet north. The Chicago Bears wilted badly in the 2nd half earlier this year in a game in Miami. There were numerous players cramping up for the Bears.
You can only add some much weather gear and it doesn't do much help when you have been out in it for 2.5 hours if you are not acclimated to it.
That's the reason why Book took over the QB role.

But we're seeing he's making deeper throws and better throws deep,.

Syracuse and USC should give up but running plays to the offense.
Does he play relaxed or is it the post-Miami, self-conscious Wimbush mentally paralyzed by the pressure to prove himself? Is it the improvising Wimbush of last year who made big plays with his legs or the hesitant Wimbush of this year who ran looking for a place to slide, and looking more likely to injure himself attempting to slide than from a hit. It's easy to underestimate how important the threat of Wimbush's running was to the success of the run game last year. If we get the good Wimbush making correct reads in the run game and running freely it could open up the run game. (It seems clear from the NW game that the offensive staff felt it needed to make Book a legitimate threat to run the ball to account for an extra defender in the box in the run game. The risk is/was that Book is not the physical specimen that Wimbush is and can't/couldn't take the hits Wimbush can.)
can do.
This is a conundrum for the coaches.
I can't pick ND as the likely winner in this one unless FSU just falls completely flat.
Wimbush has seen a couple of hand-offs since being yanked, and he looked shitty in those few exchanges.
The betting numbers must be plummeting for ND now.
I’ve been wondering if your handle was supposed to be this pronunciation or not, but this post indeed clarified it for me.
Their run game blows billy goat ball meat chunks. They are on the road at night. We have a top 3 defense. Their coach is in his first season with the team and has yet to win against a decent opponent. It ain't gonna happen in South Bend. With or without Book, we roll these guys.
What I will say is, this loss of Book plays into FSU's hands a lot more.
They're loaded with athletes but they're just a bit undisciplined -
Wimbush can change things with his legs but it is his accuracy or inaccuracy throwing the ball that will determine ND's fate Saturday night. If WB can't hit the broad side of a barn door (which is a 50/50 reality), ND will lose.
If ND turns the ball over a few times, this also could be a disaster. In reality; If their (FSU) coach has any ability, they're only a few games away from putting it all together, they are very talented. Blackman (sp) is the real deal and ND's secondary is a little suspect -
In the end, I think ND's DLine snuffs out FSU offense but then, I thought ND would crush NW.
