What would that do to the perception of our schedule. Also, there is still a decent possibility that there is only 1 one loss team at the end of the season. Still lots of games to be played.
season everyone plays the "you don't play anyone" or "who do you play - Navy, Army, Air Force?" card. Then, by the end of the season, as you mention we end up playing a bunch of ranked teams or 10 bowl teams and everyone looks past it again.
Meanwhile Alabama and the rest of the SEC play 10 cupcakes (a bunch of Sunbelt and DII teams) and two real games and everyone talks about how hard their schedules are. It's tiring and ESPN has contributed to the blasphemy over the last decade.

Currently shows ND having one of the weakest schedules amongst the top ten teams
6-7 SEC teams have tougher schedules
Explains why the committee has LSU so high
Somehow I believe Sagarin before I believe you....just funny that way
In the final ratings of 1988 Sagarin had Miami higher than ND. And ND with a tougher schedule. The week after the FSU game in 1993 he had FSU rated higher than ND. Far too often he has situations like that. His ratings have no credibility.
Not ranking...he has ND at #46 for SOS....
#46 even seems high to me personally. Outside of Michigan and Syracuse, we have played a bunch of .500 teams and below .500 teams.
lot more credibility if you didnt use sweeping statements like
"Meanwhile Alabama and the rest of the SEC play 10 cupcakes (a bunch of Sunbelt and DII teams) and two real games and everyone talks about how hard their schedules are"
attention in today's snarky - half sentence writing world.
