For what? To give Wims some applause he was going to get anyway?
If Book and or Wims is injured for any length of time it’s a stupid decision.
Let Wims be on the field in the Victory formation and then take his bow.
At least that is what I hope.

Maybe he's worked very hard and improved and the staff wanted to reward him. If it ends up playing out that it cost him a year of eligibility due to some injury situation moving forward, well . . . it will look bad. I'm guessing it won't.

Bringing the kid into the game is the reward. Making an appearance in the last game of the season before the home crowd.
He’s currently the backup. He’s only a couple of snaps away from being the starter. I hope nothing happens to Wims nor Book. Stranger things have happened. 3 snaps mean nothing relative to the risk,
Like I wrote in another post, if this breaks bad it will look bad in retrospect. I get that. I'm just suggesting another possible reason for the decision. And I do believe, as I wrote before, that when the dust settles there won't be a problem.
But he's only played in 1 game before this with 2 regular season games and a max of 2 post season games. All will be against teams ND is very unlikely to blow out meaning the 3rd string QB won't play in any of them.
May not be a big issue, but why risk it for no gain?

From risk matrix perspective, better to take that risk than risk Wimbush getting hurt on some silly play at the end.

in bones we call that "Bad Math!"

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and to remove all doubt.

We’ve theoretically got 4 games left to play. Anything can happen.
Even your insults are unoriginal.

Jurko has already played in 2 games.
If he played the 4th Q I could justify it.
Nobody can justify 3 snaps
