The Oline had a helluva game against a good defensive front. Zero negative plays. 365 yards rushing. A fantastic performance.
Alize had by far the best game of his career. Those two TD catches were sick. His blocking was solid. He actually looked like he was giving 110% effort.
Say what you want about Wimbush but he has always been very good at throwing the fade route IMO. The Irish are very tough inside the 10 with Wimbush behind center.

Flutie kept talking about #99 nd how great he was. If you actually watched he didn't make that many plays. There were times when Flutie was bragging on him and he did get upfield quickly but he didn't make the play.
As a point of reference he had 2 sacks and 3 TFLs in FSU's loss to Syracuse this year.

One play where Flutie was effusive involved him getting upfield on a shuttle pass, so I'm not sure he wasn't let go on that one. I'd have to watch it again. But I recall a couple of other plays where he completely beat his man. He's a very good player. I've seen projections for him as a first-round draft pick. Seven tackles from a DL position is pretty good in itself.

He's very talented which we saw from his freshman yr..It just never came all together for him, whatever the reason...but if it does, he can/should play in NFL..
He took a targeting shot that disqualified a UM safety from the game, and he held on to the ball. I'm not sure too many TEs make that catch. He showed real toughness, which is something that had been questioned about him.
He seems to do well on the balls where he has to leap and are more downfield type throws. Receiving is so much about having your body under control when the ball is coming so that it is not throwing off your eye hand coordination.
