That beautiful second quarter play where Book faked the toss left to Williams then gave it to Armstrong through the hole on the right side was set up in the first quarter by a toss left to Williams out of the same alignment.
The football geniuses have been clamoring for QB Wimbush as a running back. We saw that yesterday, much to our surprise, for a couple plays.
We even saw Book take several snaps from right behind the center, which is something else that people have been wanting as a means of emphasizing power runs up the middle.
Book sure throws a nice pass -- quick, flat and accurate. There was one early in the game to Claypool, I think, down the left sideline that hit him in stride and right in the numbers.
It was too bad that Wimbush didn't score on that nice scramble.
