First I thought the uniforms were terrific......here’s why.
The unis were designed to celebrate the long standing relationship with the Yankees in the Bronx. Over 30 games played there I believe....or at least in a Yankee stadium. They were paying tribute to the Yankee organization. Both programs have a history of success and are both poralizing with fan bases.
When we see photos of this game we will instantly have positive vibes knowing exactly where the game was played and how well ND played that night....rounding third base on their way to an undefeated season!!!!
What’s not to like? We are performance oriented fans not fashion critics!
Here come the Irish!
Loved the result. Statement was necessary to end all the chatter...and they made it.
Just beat F'ing USC!!!
I did like the look of the unis regardless though.

You may not and that is fine. But at Notre Dame it is included in the commitment to Excellence with which you may not agree but nevertheless is the mantra. If the tribute to a long standing relationship with the Yankees was considered to be owing, then it is.......period. I thought the uniforms were among the best in college football I had ever seen but once per year is plenty to deviate from traditional.
