The USC fans were fired up and their FB teams was also fired up. ND was not fired up to play this game. ND came out like they deserved to win.
"Just show up and the game was ours."
On the first kickoff I sensed that ND was not into this game. Playing safe all the time. I don't know if the fans fired up their team of it was a mutual thing.
But they came to pay FB, and they did. Our DF was awful, play was to bend but don't brake--playing it save again. When ND did put pressure on the
USC, they were doing what they were supposed to do. But bend but don' brake--playing it safe again.
Didn't they see how USC lost those 5 games? Put pressure on the QB and don't give him time to pass. ND did the exact opposite, they let the QB have as
much time as he needed. USC anticipated the rush by throwing quick sort passes. But USC caught on that ND was going to let the QB have as much
time as he wanted. And the result was this game. Worst played game of the year for ND.
They finally went all out on rushing the quarterback (it worked) toward the end of the game...Tom

With a defense that caused multiple turnovers and a QB who had a career best passing day.
Musta been a different game.

Only a bc fan would try and diss ND on a night when we beat a hated rival in the Coliseum.

They have a lot of talent.
Why can't you Kelly homers ever admit that he often has the team unprepared to play. It's the truth you know.
Just pointing out facts.
Kelly is not the best coach in football. He's brought the program 80% of the way back from Davie-Willingham-Weis. I'm not sure anyone that wants to be here could do any better. It's better to enjoy 12-0 than bitch about how we got to be 12-0.

The idea is to be ahead at the end of the game not at halftime
