Youre going to have 2 undefeated and 2 one loss power 5 conference champs that all cemented their status with a championship game win.
Im so afraid because everyone always hates us, that they wish to set Bama, Clemson, Oklahoma, and OSU.
Seems like we are guaranteed a spot, but are we?

Nobody likes me!
There are those of us that are less-than-certain given the subjective nature of picking teams for the CFP.
Nothing is certain except that 'Bama makes the CFP...even if they lose their conf championship game.
Everyone hates ND, Catholics, the refs only call penalties on us, everyone is holding, ESPN hates us....
That’s only the tip of the iceberg for the mommy hold me syndrome on this board
The Power-5 conferences will always protect themselves. ND is the outsider and will always have to be unbeaten to be considered. If there was even a small chance to not pick ND, that is what the committee will do. But this season, I don't see how they can not pick ND. The media backlash would simply be too much for them to not pick the Irish.

The loss needs to be a quality loss (to a quality opponent and not a blow-out) and relatively early.
That said, if we had lost to Purdue the way that Ohio State did this year, ND would have no shot. tOSU does.

This year is an outlier. In the four years of the CFP era to date, each year has ended with only one undefeated Power 5 team. This year we may have three. But it's not difficult to imagine a year in which there are none.
This presumption of anti-ND bias from the committee is the talk of pussies. What do you base this on? Do you have any evidence of this bias? The truth is that Notre Dame has not given the committee ANY reason to not consider its inclusion in the playoff to date. Yet these preemptive cries of bias persist. Stop portraying Notre Dame as a martyr.
We are in!
Woe is us syndrome I speak of earlier
It really is hilarious to watch
Mommy everyone is out to get us
Waaaaa!!!
three wins over ranked teams and other legitimate good wins. And we pass the eye test too.
Who think not playing in a conference championship gives ND a huge advantage......
But not this year, 12-0 with a decent schedule rules the day
UCF is going to make a LOT of noise now as they likely will be either 5 or 6 tomorrow night......and now suddenly they are being kept out of Top 4 and no longer way back in the 12-13 slot
They don't play anyone....but that is a slippery slope to travel down....when they did play #7 Auburn at the end of last year they killed them
We would certainly be challenged by them
don’t have a conference tie in or another game so it just might be a wait & see. I can see someone jumping us after next weekend though....

One in 5 chance is better than none at all.

We better start practicing our telekinesis.

Think their decisions are driven by who has the best traveling fans? Seriously? Wow.
That’s how you sell advertising. ND has the largest nationwide non-alumn base of any college by far.
(no message)
I do not think they are making their decisions based on that
And keep in mind, it needs a large subway alumni base as they only graduate 2000-2200 alum every year.....compare that to a place like Ohio State or Michigan or Florida.....they travel and watch just as well

That’s why they were included in the CFP and associated bowl tie ins.
They want ND in. It's good for the sport. It's good for the playoff.
They want ND to have an "opportunity" to be in because if ND was shut out, they could have led the group of 5 and any other mid/lower tier Power 5 schools away from the CFP. If ND was shut out, why would Colorado, Oregon State, or Texas Tech think they would get a fair shake even if they won their conference championship with one loss? Freezing out ND would basically make the CFP a SEC/ACC/Big10 affair with Oklahoma, Texas, USC, and Oregon having very far outside shots.

How do you make it out the door each day being such gigantic pussies?
We’re in. Enjoy it. Relax. And man up.

Exactly...

Yes, Notre Dame is in the playoff.
No. Notre Dame is not a victim destined to be cheated out of the playoffs regardless of what happens next weekend.
