Needing my football fix since bowl season was over, I have watched two seasons of the Netflix show QB1. It's really a great show and definitely shows how some kids are groomed to think they're great (as the whole world revolves around them) and some kids carry a lot of pressure.
In two seasons, my favorite player was probably Jake Fromm (the kind of kid you'd want your daughter to bring home) and Re-Al Mitchell (an explosive athlete who could be a bit sullen but was not treated especially well by his coaches). As for the coaches, some of them seem to think they're the next Bill Belicheck; they ain't. I love Chad Grier (Will's father). That dude seems like the real deal.
Watch it.

game. IMO team comes first and how many QBs have had career ending injuries in their last game. Milton may be the only one, and hopefully he will come back. That factor bothers me a little about his dad.
I think the alleged conundrum about guys sitting out meaningless bowl games to protect their potential future income vs sucking it one more time for an organization which has made loads of money is part of the ongoing farce about what big time college football has become. There are only 3 post season games that have any meaning and the rest are exhibitions stage for the television networks that are generally less than 50% full. Even the most rabid fan base doesn't want to spend $150 per seat to sit where you need oxygen after a trip to the bathroom.
When this started in the last few years it was much hand-ringing by the talking (empty ) heads sports guys about how awful it was and how the pro scouts would downgrade guys re: character. Now it barely merits a mention.
one bowl game left. As a scouting remark on him, he makes a lot of good plays and throws at times, but chokes too much at critical times. But when you are the starting QB and you decide to sit out the last game of your career for your team, you show the character that makes you choke in clutch situations.
Players who sit out their teams bowl games should have to repay their scholarship for that year. They did not honor their contract. And then their is Bosa a from Osu...
