They are all high 4* recruits and all in the top 125 nationally, according to 247.
It's strange that we've had trouble recruiting those 2 positikn for a few cycles now. Seems like our fortunes have flipped there with DL recruiting. That used to be our biggest problem.
I don't see WR as a big problem. ND brought in 5 WR prospects last season, including Austin, Lenzy, and Keys. I wasn't surprised that ND didn't emphasize WR this cycle, though another WR in the class would have been nice. I'm hopeful that K Williams is a hit and that Taylor turns around RB recruiting. The margin for error is pretty slim right now at RB. No doubt.
They have a legitimate chance with three top 100 wide receivers in 2020.

None of the guys you mentioned were able to make an immediate impact as a freshman.
in the last two cycles, including DL. But ND landed 3 4* WRs last year, including Austin who was the #82 player overall (by 247). In fact, Austin is the third-highest rated recruit over the last two cycles (barely behind Hamilton and Griffith) and was higher rated than any of ND’s DLs. Difficult for me to understand the idea that ND struggled at WR in the last two cycles given that. Making a major impact as a FR isn’t always an indicator of ultimate value . . . see Shark, Fuller, Tate, etc.

with these DT recruits (for those of you who understand targeting a rifle).
I thought, last year, that Aidan had a very similar nature to Jason, Ja'Mion, Lacey, and Spears; and he would fit perfectly with them.
Likewise, I see Rylie Mills fitting this psychological profile (and moving inside).
This is more than just getting an excellent player: This is forming a team, a brotherhood.
