Any news on why he was given the hook so quickly? NOthing worse for the kid’s confidence. W

so it's on him to grow and I hope he does.

He has a stronger arm than Book...of course 75% of the starting power 5 qbs have a stronger arm than Book so that really is much of a bar to measure.

And I see little in Book to call him an "accurate" passer. Of course, those forward hand-offs and 7 yard down and outs demonstrate impressive accuracy.
I will note that he is probably a big hit on the dancing floor.
very does need work, and I've never seen a QB after about the age of 12 who really can change his delivery. A poor delivery means poor accuracy and that is on top of limited arm strength.

No point to say (politely) he is uninformed because it just breaks up his narrative and what fun would that be?

They wanted to give him some field time, but wanted to limit it. Flutie talked about it during the game. I have to think this was a confidence boost for Jurkovec. A nice long completion. A good open field run. A TD drive.

But he got some good reps still. He was 1 for 1 (a great deep throw) and ran well so you can rest assured that he wasn't yanked.
We need that kid to be good and to be confident. We can only go so far with guys like Book, Tommy Rees, etc.
If Clemson's experience shows us anything, a stud QB is critical to championships. I like Book's accuracy, but I'm not sure he qualifies (as he doesn't effectively stretch the field/defense). I don't think Jurko qualifies either, but he has the athletic tools that seem like they can be developed. I am just haunted by his post-spring ball interview; we need him confident.
