We have to hope for upsets to get in the playoffs, no doubt. We could give any of these teams strong competition but would have to play closer to our capability than they could play to theirs. Georgia, well we probably should have won that one, but I do not know what the hell happened to Fromm and the apparently their newly vision challenged kicker. He prescription must have been off.
Playoffs? (Insert Jim Mora)
We already know that another 1 loss team is better...because ND played Georgia.
Let's see how ND does versus Michigan because Wisconsin might be better...as is Florida (let's see how they do vs Georgia).
Hope I'm wrong, but ND feels like barely a Top Ten team..They can change that perception at Ann Arbor...but it needs to be a convincing win I think.
still good though.

I do think we are better than Florida and Wisconsin though. We will see how it all shakes out. Good teams could have multiple losses. Maybe it is a year when a good team wins the national title rather than a great team.
Beat us 8/10 times
The #3-4....likely 7/10
OK beats us 6-7/10
I think Georgia beats us 6/10
Florida dead even....
IF we wipe out Michigan I think those odds improve
We barely beat USC who now has 3 losses.....good win....but far from convincing
There is still a large difference between us and the top four teams and fairly substantial between us and #5-6
We are not elite but we will finish 11-1......that doesnt make us elite

First, the UM game will be difficult, unfortunately. But even if we win out, w the UGA loss, I do not see voters and computers putting us in the top four.
Michigan is terrible...ND will win out
Nate Silver gives the Irish a 50% chance of being in if they win out. I'll take his view instead.

He was one of the few people saying that Trump had a legitimate chance of winning.
