Absolutely. Under Petrino, Louisville became a tough out.
Won 9 games two out of three seasons (8 wins in between). Lamar Jackson won a Heisman. Louisville is not too far removed from being a very credible opponent who would have been considered a tough game for a season opener, especially on the road. The wheels fell off, and they became a joke. But their better history isn't that long ago.

Michigan is enemy #1 for me. I will suck it up and "pull for them" when their is clear advantage for ND. But I always like seeing them fall. And, of course, who we "pull for" has no bearing on outcomes.

IF we are serious playoff contenders then Michigan should present no problems. If we want a strengthened SOS we want Michigan to win all their games. Any other thinking is pure stupidity. We have a weak schedule this year and it doesnt need further weakening with Michigan and USC losing. USC already has three losses in a weak Pac 12. Michigan and Georgia are the only remaining ranked teams on the schedule.

I go year to year on this. This year definitely rooting for Michigan. Penn State has a decent
defense and a very explosive return man, however their QB is very mediocre and their running attack, I think will get swallowed up as their line is mediocre. In past years Michigan has owned them when Penn State was more talented.

I do think I hate PSU more than anyone, so I agree with you mostly. The conditions have to be
