final poll we make a big unexpected move for no reason. At least that's my hope.
..so odds are down but here's to hoping it's the other.
Auburn, and Oregon who just lost to freakin ASU for cripes sakes..
I also think a fair argument can be made that they'd handle us head to head, so what are you gonna do?
Oregon on the other hand deserves to be slightly ahead of us...they lost close to Auburn then won 9 straight and we're up to number 6 and got upset in a close one to ASU (if memory serves, last time we played ASU we got royally F'd up so let's not be too judgy about it)...they dropped 8 spots after losing a close one on the road, we dropped 8 spots after getting our shit pushed in on the road by a better opponent, seems fair enough. ...and I'm someone who likes to complain about fairness in the polls.
While I don't think we should be behind some of the teams ahead of us, we are in no position to bitch.
Woo hoo

Would all have their way with Notre Dame.....that is why they are all ranked ahead of ND
But keep talking about what weak schedules they play.....
I suppose as the self-appointed board nanny out to squash any signs of favoritism to ND, this should be expected. But it is tired and predictable.
We can never know how we would fare against other teams, but the assumption that others would 'have their way with us' shows your true colors.
Wins VS current AP top 25:
LSU: 3
Ohio State: 3
Georgia: 3
Notre Dame: 3
Michigan: 2
Wisconsin: 2
Penn State: 2
Auburn: 1
Oklahoma: 1
Florida: 1
Baylor: 1
Minnesota: 1
Oregon: 1
Iowa: 1
Clemson: 0
Alabama: 0
Utah: 0
I know two of them and they are like 23 and 25....who is the third?

They aren’t in the poll that matters
But then, you know that and are just being your usual self
My original post clearly referenced the AP poll. There was no attempt to misrepresent or obfuscate. Rather than admit your error, you moved the goalpost.
This is lame, even for you.
Happy Thanksgiving, Board Nanny.
Any good tells me all I need to know
You’re too much of a pompous prick to wish you anything
The so called "poll that matters" that supposedly makes the other polls irrelevant, only matters for one thing (two if being nitpicky) 1) picking the 4 playoff teams 2) deciding NY6 bowls.
BUT (and yes it's a big but) that poll is never released again after the playoff is determined, so if one cares about final rankings n such (outside the team that wins the playoff), the other polls are the only ones that are relevant.
Now having said that, I do wish they would make up their mind which standard they want to use to make Kelly's performance look better, ranking at time we played them -or- current/ final ranking. I personally think the current/ final ranking metric is more accurate in determining the quality of teams you've played, but it's annoying seeing them switch back and forth from one to another based on which makes Kelly look better at that moment.
No. Bama, LSU, yes. Georgia, Auburn, no. Though with the current state of the O (and D) lines, ND would not win, I think they'd accord themselves OK against Georgia and Auburn (I think they could beat Auburn).
They have since looked much better, we have looked much the same but have benefited from shitty opposition.
The committee hasn't fallen for the fools gold, that is all.
There is a reason they are all ranked ahead of us.....
Have their way might have been a tad strong
We have played a weak schedule.....
at least 3-4 of the teams ahead of it will have one more loss by the end of the season, which should allow us to move up close to the top 10.
Hasnt happened yet....
