I used to teach a leadership course (Situational Leadership) at Intel in the 90s for new supervisors and project managers. One of the first exercises was to have small groups make a list of effective leaders on the left hand side of a flip chart. (These would later be used to identify their behaviors, and then map them into the situational leadership model.). The list would almost always include:
Michael Jordon;
Hitler;
Jesus;
a few Intel execs like Andy Grove;
MLK;
Ghandi; and
one or more of the participant’s parents.
That was always an interesting list to look at because of the diversity.
It comes as no surprise that Hitler is cited for his leadership skills. I wonder if in today’s cancel culture, he would still show up on that list.

For the most part cancel culture goes to far....but Hitler is likely the worst person that ever lived. If there's one person we should never praise, it's him.
