That number seems higher than usual in the Weis/Kelly era. Does anyone have the history on this?
Seems like many years in recent memory it has been about half that many?
thus believing the talent level is not where it should be. I believe this is proof against all of that. Yes, there may be a coach or two here that are not top-notch recruiters. Yes, like any other team, we lose out on our fair share of elite players and only occasionally land a 5*. But taken as a whole, the players we get collectively have enabled us to put a consistently good team on the field-----a FAR cry from what other pre-BK coaches have done.
that. He's built a very solid or good program. Everyday coaching, game prep & in-game decisions/adjustments, and most importantly depth chart assessment and evaluation has been very poor relative to the talent that is and has been on the roster.

It's not 1940 anymore. Kelly has consistently recruited better than anyone at ND since 1990. He put ND on the map again. It's a tough pill to swallow but ND had been dead for more than a decade prior to Kelly. That's just the harsh truth. 1990-93 was the last "good" period and that was 30 years ago.
