Urban Meyer wants complete control over a football program. The same would hold true for a coach the likes of Nick Saban, Bob Stoops, etc.
The Board of Trustees at Notre Dame will *never* cede that kind of control to a coach. That's the main reason why Meyer turned us down in 2004.
