ND and will be the Director of Defensive Recruiting. Can’t make this shit up.
Good on Freeman. He's taking improving recruiting seriously.

This has been speculated about, ever since the Freeman hire. Now with Bowden coming as well, the relationships that Jordan built up with Fickell's staff just weren't there any longer. The question is: does ND go after Jordan, because he is likely theirs to lose.

Tough room tonight, ladies and gents.

stated that a guy followed MF to ND. How is this being critical? I think it’s fabulous.
qualify as “simply stating that he followed him to ND from Cincinnati”

Strongly implied criticism. I have no idea what to make of that comment if you didn’t intend to criticize, so I certainly understand why people took it the way most of us did.

Freeman’s hire, and nabbing Ford have me optimistic for the future.

Your optimism is understandable if the goal is to be a 5-10 ranked team as we have been lately. If the goal is to be a truly elite team (1-3rd), there is no reason to be optimistic. There is not a player recruited for the 2022 class so far that is ranked in the 247 composite 100. Looking at the prospects ranked in the top 100 in the 2022 class, I don't see one 5 star that is "warm" for Notre Dame. The 2022 class seems to be "déjà vu" to me. It looks like another 9-15 recruiting class at best. That might keep us just about where we are now. A ten win season and not much else. Thank you very much.
I mean the guy just got named DC, you can't expect him to pull in a bunch of 5 stars for a place he just arrived at. I'm glass half full myself. Nice to see we are putting more resources into recruiting and a pretty good pickup right off the bat.
Since recruiting is usually a multiyear process, I suspect we won't see the full impact for this next cycle, but more in the following. Hopefully we'll get some better results this year out of it, but an instant fix even with a great year of recruiting is unlikely. We still have some ground to make up.
Both the kind of things elite programs do. Those two things make me optimistic. I don’t understand the contra argument regarding those specific developments. That doesn’t mean I think those things are enough to make ND elite. Not at all. But I will respectfully disagree that these things are cause for pessimism.

"Can't make this shit up". What is your take? And please brush up on your grammar. Even a two sentence post of yours is painful to read. No offense intended.
