I watched a little this morning. Saw Hainsey get reps. Ian was throwing in drills but I didn't see him get reps with the full offense. How are our guys doing?
ISD says that he's been the most consistent QB on the national side.
Hainsey's also making a name for himself, showing what he can do at C, T, and G.
Skowronek's injured, and in a walking boot.

"Robert Hainsey, Daelin Hayes and Ade Ogundeji seemed to have scouts buzzing and Ian Book had a quality day hitting a couple of deep shots, while Aaron Banks and Ben Skowronek have some work to do over the next two days of practice."
I really wish he was back at ND this year.
Just was actually ripping on first reads.
in a system that sees value in shorter more mobile QBs.
Short mobile (and we're not talking Jackson or even Allen mobility) qbs who can't pass have no shelf life in the NFL.
He accomplished wonderful things at ND but he just doesn't have the arm or passing skills to play in the NFL.
surprised if" statement. Many on here would be shocked if Book had any sort of success in the NFL. Again, not saying he will or that I'm even hoping he does. I'm saying it wouldn't surprise me if it did happen.
get him a Back Up roll somewhere. He may even get drafted.
I completely respect what Book accomplished in college but I just don't see even a short stint as a backup. I am sure he will get in someone's camp, but I doubt he get's drafted unless he shows somethings in the Senior Bowl and combines that he didn't show in college.
If he had anywhere near an NFL arm or special skill as a passer, neither of which he has, he might get some time despite his size. And while people rave about his "mobility," he has nowhere near the mobility of smaller qbs like Wilson and Murray much less the arm and passing chops needed for shorter qbs.
Simply put, what he got away with in college, he isn't going to get away with in the pros. His skills in leadership, effort, poise, etc are enough to overcome his lack of pro level passing skills.
he is not drafted at all.
I watch pro football and man there are some bad back up QB's out there.
We shall see, hoping for the best.
