a la Cam Hart. Amorian played corner in HS at a high level.

similar to the one below:
“I’ve been coaching since 1977, I’ve been coaching really good players, very fortunate, guys that have played in the NFL and he’s in the top two or three kids I’ve coached. Legit 4.4 kid, 6-4, plays both ways as a junior. What’s unique he only played a few games and got hurt (hamstring pull). Nothing major, he’s fine now. Can really cover as a corner but can run.”(Ponchatoula head coach Hank Tierney)
Coaches exaggerate and scouts base their "professional evaluations" on 15 min of highlight tape. So, who knows until the kid steps on campus.... but it is an interesting discussion.

That seems to be the consensus of reports. And with good size. D2 makes the important point on whether he could play CB -- that's about more than straight-line speed. I will be surprised if ND is looking at him as anything other than a WR. The newest commit, Jaden Mickey, looks like a pure CB.
You tend not to see tall corners because they have issues re: agility for flipping hips, and having quick feet to change direction.
If you find a tall one that has those traits, you've got an all pro.
Meaning it's physically harder for them to maintain their balance when forced to make quick movements. When you could hit receivers and be far more physical, then big, tall corners made sense. That ain't the case anymore...

But, at 6' 3", who knows? If he has flexible enough hips, I think he can be an excellent cornerback or safety at the college level. If not, then he'd be better suited at the WR position.
The last time we had this tall of a cornerback was with Bobby Taylor.
Watching the few clips of his tape, it was hard to get the ball over him as the boundary corner. He had the speed to stay with the receiver and the height to knock the ball away. On the slant route, he had the quickness to cut underneath the receiver and make an impressive interception. As a receiver, he has a lot of numbers and talent in front of him, but at corner it could be a different story.
Both played DB and on offense at various parts of their careers

We were going after a player named Benn out of Illinois. When he signed with Illinois we went after Tate. He was going to sign
with Vandy prior to this. His Brother Wesley went to Vandy and was a good RB but was slightly slow. Tyler Eifert out of Bishop Dwenger was a 3 star.
Interesting stat 37 out of 88 Pro Bowlers in 2016 were 3 star or lower recruits.

I get with his shortened season and injuries. I think people would be less concerned about his 3 stars, if he was moved to corner where his 6'4 size and speed could make him a difference maker. His high school coaches have said he could be a two-way player at the college level.
I am sure Walker wants to be a WR, but how many 6'4 corners with his skill and speed do you know of?

are simply guessing with lack of data.
Yes, Fuller was a 3* when he was being recruited, but gained a 4th star once his senior year got going. Claypool was a solid 4*.
