Vegas knows that historically, Kelly's teams don't play well, after bye weeks, come out flat, unfocused, etc....more than usual - I think the Irish will win, but will be a typical "Kellysque" 4 hour nail-biter. Betting O/U on false starts/turnovers - 3/2 respectively
Every intangible is on our side - at home, at night (no team is more comfortable with night games than ND), after a bye when Kelly has been historically great. We will be jacked for the rivalry. This is as close to a sure thing you will get. ND will win big.
All after bye weeks or extended down time between last regular season game and next game. BK is not money.
IMO one of his finer coaching efforts of his ND tenure (results aside) we played toe to toe with the team that was clear and away the best team in the country that year, until our starting corner got hurt and they went after his replacement.
I knock Kelly a lot, but that was one big game he had us up for and things out of his control happened.
He stinks prepping for bowls. That's a completely different situation.

Good topic for discussion starting on Black Friday.
Hope you're right, but I respect Irish-Trojans rivalry too much to expect an easy win...and ND is struggling with everyone..
I think what the guys who do it for a living say is a bigger possibility, but rivalry games are hard to predict.
I will say the Irish haven’t shown me anything this far that would give me confidence that they will blow out SC, as nice as that would obviously be.
Trust me if you turn out to be right, I will be the first to congratulate you.
Don’t base your retirement on this. Just what I expect to happen. 33-24 for the good guys.

At ND he has an 86% win rate after the bye (12-2) and an average score in all 14 games of 33-18.
This is just like a couple of weeks ago when people were trying to push the narrative that Kelly always taking the ball first has been a negative.
KDS makes people lose touch with reality.
Student body will do their part. Song Girls. Prime time baby! Irish vs USC. Doesn't get any better than that. The spirits of John McKay and Ara walking the sidelines. Players from both sides are a who's who of college football royalty. I'm already packed and will be setting up the tailgate with my brothers and friends around 9AM South Bend time. Irish still have a ton to play for. NY6 bowl and a play-off is remote, but still a possibility. I am 68 and I will make it my mission to make sure that stadium is rockin'.

to them but couldn’t. And Pitt’s a little better than a middle of the pack team.
Unless we pick things up, other than Navy we could lose to any of the rest of our schedule, especially SC, NC, or Stanford.
