to not feast on a weak schedule...but probably just as well since the result of mostly winning close against poor to middling teams to go undefeated...would have been a playoff beat-down.
Just maybe this team can win out while maturing and developing and win a major bowl. I have my doubts...but that's the best possible outcome I see now.
Purdue looked like a bad win a few weeks ago. Now it’s a good one. And it may be a bad one before year end.

LOts of football to be played yet, and losses are coming to some top teams..
utter impossibility.

not impossible, just very unlikely.
The best scenario to root for is SMU and Iowa St. to win out

Name the bet.

The ACC as a whole is god-awful this season. All seem to feature poor defenses. Rounding the corner on mid-season, it looks more like a poor facsimile of the shoot-'em-up arcade that the Big12 normally represents. Right now it's setting up to be Wake versus Pitt in the championship game, which is mind-bending to think about. Two solid yet unspectacular middling teams in recent years, one of which (Wake) struggled to manage 3 wins in each of the current coach's first two seasons, which wasn't all that long ago. ND really missed a good opportunity with this schedule, which is turning out to be much softer than projected from the outset.
though that there are other more likely candidates left.

Now I'm concerned with Stanford. Hopefully we win out though.

Too much has to occur among the multitude of undefeated and 1 loss teams ahead of us, and the odds of enough of that happening are slim to none.
If it does happen, I'll be happy to eat crow, and it will be the tastiest crow ever. That, plus I'll go buy a Pow 'R Ball lottery ticket.
That tells you everything you need to know. Bye week was more of a double down week for BK. Marcus and family were at my local HS game Friday night watching a recruit. What kind of magic did BK /Rees draw up for the remainder of the season? We'll see.
better reads on defense (i.e. down & distance), playing more freshman, juggling tight ends due to injury (said they will see what Bauman can do when he comes back), working on making Coan more efficient at the beginning of games, getting Clark a lot of work to get him ready to contribute, working on how they contain USC's stud receiver. I am sorry, I don't know what you are looking for, but I assume you mean starting Coan with Buchner in relief is doing nothing (no changes to play calling, tempo, etc.)?
You saying what we see now after his "changes" is the finished product for 2021? He and Rees is not managing the QB position very well. Let's start developing instead of trying to squeeze their offensive philosophy into a one size fits all mentality. This staff has performed far from perfection. That cost in the Cincy game which they are totally responsible for.

If the line can get healthy and cohesive, I would actually agree, that no changes would be necessary. Jack Coan is a solid QB when he has at least 4 seconds to drop back and throw.
Unfortunately, there are simply too many variables involved...

What changes? Maybe I missed something in his presser.
and/or preparation. Adjustments and improvements are always sought by the coaching staff.
