If ever it will be at least 2 seasons before ND needs to do anything. Their domino will be the last to fall and when the NBC contract expires and all networks would pay at least $150 mil per year to ND exclusively.
like two things: a possible public bargaining chip for ND when negotiating with the networks and the conferences, and some of Dodd's Big 12 sources wanting to float a narrative that puts the conference in the best possible light.
Schools too low profile academically . Markets too small. Small geographic footprint. They’d join the Ivy before the “Big 12” the most at risk large conference

a restructured big 12 power 5?
Keep in mind the source of this story is Dennis Dodd, and he’s a hack.
Money will not dictate our independence.
IF true, a very big if, it makes sense that we see what NBC is prepared to do. An expanded NBC slate that includes the B12 is worth kicking the tires. Lots of streaming providers out there that are potential partners.
Think outside the box, Jack.
$75 million for ND home games, most of which are garbage and receive poor ratings, seems like a stretch by Mr. Dodd.
I'd love to see ND on Apple, although Amazon would likely be the streamer of choice.
can get right now. Smart.
