How did the offense go from relatively decent under Rees to absolutely putrid? Even against Oklahoma State's strong defense, left to his own devices, ND put up 35 points. Was Kelly really that valuable to Rees? Or is Buchner and the O-line so bad that nothing will work?
On another front, the O-line is terrible, as we all know. Are Hiestand's methods, training, techniques, etc., outdated? Has the game passed him by? Even Quinn got the line to be effective last year once the right parts were in place.
Finally, would it make sense for Al Golden to offer some input into the offense? Maybe he has the time, maybe he doesn't.
I thought Rees had actually called 2 good games. Play calls not predictable and used the skill players/Tight ends at his disposal well.
With 2 losses in the books, I think it is time to get Angeli into the games.
A big time college QB has to make that throw. That's what separates the 2-0s from the 0-2s.
pass well.
an offense that doesn't feature the QB running, this is all on Rees
