I'm mixed on the Trojans... I'd like us to be the one to burst their bubble but it's hard not to want them to loose to a team still named after an Indian Tribe.
Somehow I kinda like Tennesee and especjally their endzone and hearing Rocky Top and am always pulling for a Saban loss.
Of course I'm all over former PedU over the skunkbears.
I'm taking an Irish victory for granted over a team formerly named the Indians.
And by the way... if I were of indiginous people descent I would want as many Indian mascots as possible to honor my peeps... instead of erasing them from the nation's consciousness.
So when we play them, it means something. This has been the SEC formula for years.
they were heavy favorites and had a superb quarterback. wife and i wore our n.d. gear and expected to be jeered, jostled, and jammed.
we were ahead a little bit near the half and the vols got the ball inside their own ten with less than a minute to go. everybody expected a simple run play to end the half, regroup, come out with purpose for the 2nd half. instead their coach, phil fulmer, called for a hail mary. their qb faded into the endzone, got trapped, and threw the ball into the cheap seats. but not before the defense nailed him and put him out for the season. n.d. eventually won the game.
we were afraid for our lives at this point.
but the vol fans patted us on the back, congratulated us for playing such a great game, and were incredibly friendly and hospitable. we were incredulous. so, when it comes to the sec, we pull for tennessee to beat them all (although vandy might sneak in at some point).
btw: it was fulmer's last season. that game might have been the straw.
at any rate --------------------------------- go, vols! kick some elephant ass!!!!

.....past 50 yrs. is insufferable! GO scUM!!!!
AND I feel OSU will want serious revenge so let the humiliation by maximum.
vibe in big games better than PSU, even though they are not that good. Michigan tends to choke and I think they are overrated too.
Those teams were loaded with Arrington, Short, Courtney Brown to name a few.
Ahh how I enjoyed the silence of Beaver Stadium the year Minnesota knocked them off.
I’m not sure they’ve done much recently, other than the year they pulled the victory out of their ass against Ohio State 3-4 years ago.

I expect Utah to win (they're favored by 3.5 for a reason), and for PSU and UT to be competitive.
This is probably the best Saturday of the season. Oklahoma State vs. TCU and NC State vs. Syracuse are other good games.
But I would not root for Ped St against a prison team.
