positive indicator.
The team has played up and down to its competition all year...let's see if HCMF can have them up to turn in dominant performances against Navy and BC and then if we can repeat last night's level of play vs USC and a strong bowl opponent.
If he takes us to a 10-3 finish after that rocky start, I'll be pretty much sold.
When he got named OC, I thought he was a star in the making. Then after the loss to Stanford and based on bland game plans for 3 years, I thought he actually wasn't very good.
Now I realize Pyne hamstrings him greatly. Pyne showed so much promise in high school and last year, but this year he's generally been...not good.

drive started at the 5. So the O only scored 14 points and a gimmie 7 starting at the 5.
Rees still has to go if we want this team to compete with the big boys.

Only then will we know if he’s a top OC. But I’ll give him credit. After he saw Pyne couldn’t complete a 10 yd pass, he called an excellent game

I'm not about to say that I'm optimistic on Tommy Rees.
Still, after these last two games, I can say that I am much less pessimistic about his play calling. It's as if the light switch finally turned on in his head.

Need to roll the pocket for Pyne as he’s too short. Don’t think ND passed for 100-yards.
