Then a halftime later...it was gone. Done being teased. This game highlights how bad Tommy actually is. Last week he called a good game and it got blown into he's a good play caller. Erasing the horrible few games he called previously. If the boys duplicated the 1st half, in the 2nd Rees starts looking better, hiding what he really is. It needs to be dealt with...I was really hoping he did turn a corner last week but evidently he reversed back into the garage. This performance should solidify a change for Freeman. If ND had blown them away, the narrative on Tommy might be different. It's obvious, he has to go. It may not have been if the result was different and I HATE saying that

This is the problem I keep annoyingly pointing out. Everyone here changes their opinion strictly
based on the game that happens that week. NOT the body of work. I agree with you. The body of work 4 or 5 years worth agrees that a change is needed as progress has been little to none.

Translation, they won this game because the game clock ran out. MF seems well aware of the second half issues, the same issues we have been discussing here. It appears that all these problems will be addressed this week. Whether they are fixed is another thing. I'm telling everyone right now. You screw around with BC and you're going to find yourself with a big fat L on Senior Day. This staff and team does not have the luxury of playing uninterested and sloppy, especially the veterans, and be successful. Suddenly, the BC game looks tricky and the USC game looks like it could be an assault on our Secondary. A Secondary that "misremembered" how to tackle and how to cover.
Yeah, ND found a way to win this game: Navy ran out of time. If there were even 2 more minutes left
of game clock after Navy's last TD, no chance in hell ND wins today.....against Navy & their 2nd/3rd string QBs.

The BC game has looked tricky since the Marshall loss. We have to figure out how to play to our
strengths and not play up or down to the opponent. It's disappointing that Kelly is gone and this is still the glaring issue.
