Deion Colzie...
Same year. Colzie 6-4 193 ranked higher 117 player, 16 WR, 94 rating to Harrison Jr 160 player, 21 WR, 93 rating.
Colzie better track times as well. So why has Harrison been hyped even before this season??
1. Showcasing - Featuring a player is huge in CFB. Just getting them balls in the easy way possible just make plays and get guys touches. And sadly enough pad stats. It's a thing, whether you like it or not.
2. Development - Now under Stuckey the WRs unit already looks better but Rees has to get this offense way less complicated. If you notice South Carolina gave Rattler a bunch of easy passes and got the juice out his arm and got the playermakers early touches - yet TB couldn't complete 5yd passes with any touch. You watch Bama, OSU, they get guys easy balls early. Always seems like this offense has to many things going on. Often seen Cbs 8yds off ND WRs and there's no call to basically toss it out there for 5 easy yds and a completion. It's too easy but I haven't seen that in 2yrs under Rees. Can't have WRs doing all this work M-F and can't get em a ball on Sat. No excuse Every starting WR not getting ONE ball.
3. Attitude - Not sure who to pin this on, but the WRs need to feel like weapons. They need to be attacking. The attitude with Quinn and Jeff S, McKnight and Stovall or Clausen with Tate and Floyd. Now those are arguably the best groups ever at ND but still the attitude is everything. Those dudes played with attitude but it has to be coached and cultured. Freeman definitely brings that and it's evident with the RBs and OL but the WRs/QBs seem to be just managing and not attacking.
This next group of WRs are coming in with some major energy. Flores, Greathouse and James all have alpha dog juice and seem to be a unified group - if they come in and that attitude isn't cultivated won't matter how good of a QB there is or recruiting class they are they'll not rise to their potential. 23 WR Braylon James, track guy, and has a game and size verrrry similar to Marvin Harrison Jr and is ranked nearly the same. Does that mean he'll be as good - no but he, Colzie, and Merriweather better be given opportunities to be.

A lot of dudes here don't get it, makes me wonder what game their watching. Probably watching too many old games on VHS.
What was their argument against this?? Can't imagine how this isn't understood when made clear. Seems like guys just see everyone elses player as better and if the unis we're reversed they'd think the same. If two yrs ago Harrison was Irish and Colzie went to OSU, theyd be clamoring for Colzie and saying ND doesn't get those kinds of guys.
