It pains me to say this, but a solid WF alum emailed me minutes ago telling me that today Hartman was talking with Georgia.
He will need a solid guarantee......after Buckner looked solid and coach praised him as being special.
Hartman is light years beyond Tyler.....Tyler must wait another year.
and that kid..QB , form Coastal Carolina does not have. enough academic credits in any one area to get in most places. He took a RECREATION course 3 times. How to build a safe playground.
He needs a WOODY HAYES HALL school
He and Kirby. But Georgia is more risky. He’ll have big shoes to fill (back to back national champs). Come to ND, lead them to a playoff victory and they’ll write songs about him.
well ahead of Buchner in almost all respects.
Ga has 5 other QB's on their roster, 2 soph, 3 fresh all 5 stars.

His skillset was limited, including the following issues:
1) Arm strength on medium and longer range routes was insufficient except in the cases of one on one, let the receiver fight for them. Opposing teams simply played the "defend against Tommy Rees" defense that they would squat in a short zone and take away the dink 'n dunk passing attack. He was actually very fortunate that Mike Mayer could fight those double coverages and win most of those battles. If Pyne had played in the Gator Bowl without Mayer, we may have started out a bit faster, but in the end, the offense would have been all too predictable.
2) Field vision was terrible. He missed all too many receivers breaking wide open over the middle. His height probably had some things to do with not seeing over the middle, but he still wouldn't see those receivers over the middle when doing a rollout. By all rights, Lorenzo Styles should have had a 50+ catch season.
3) Locked onto Mike Mayer and wouldn't look elsewhere. While he could get away with it for the most part, thanks to Mayer being all but unstoppable, there were at least two TD's left on the field for many a game, especially Stanford and USC, where he wouldn't look elsewhere.
4) Footspeed was subpar at best. There were many opportunities for him to scramble for a 5 yard gain, but due to slower speed and hesitation, he'd get stopped for no gain on all too many occasions. At least he could get a yard or two where needed, unlike his mentor, Tommy Rees (no mobility at all).
That being said, with all of his limitations, he played about as well as anyone could have hoped, where he put up some decent numbers. I do wish the best for him at Arizona State, and hope that he can be successful.
Wide outs wide open. Laser locked on Big Mike.
But, looking at how he stacks up to Kenny Minchey standing side by side with him, and with Pyne wearing cleats, it's obvious that his height is a bit exaggerated.
To put it this way, Minchey is listed at 6' 1.5", but looked to be 4 inches taller than Pyne (not including Minchey's massive hair), even though Pyne was in cleats and Minchey was in ordinary sneakers.
Thus, 5' 9" seems pretty accurate, although I can certainly see how it could stretch to 5' 10".

for a moment, if you can manage it.
s performance has many believing he’s over the hump and should take a backseat to no one.
So be it.No telling what TB is capable of with a year of coaching under his belt. And he was recruited to campus, to be our QB.
I commend Buchner for his tough, gritty performance against a depleted USC defense, and in all honesty he looked better than I expected with his long layoff.
But if we're honesty evaluating his performance there is a lot to be hopeful about BUT also a lot to be concerned about (and that's IF he stays healthy). But more to the point, there was nothing I saw in the Gator that made me think he has 'cemented himself' as the starter.
If we get Hartman, it should be an open competition between the two with best man wins. I (someone who has defended Buchner a lot) would be incredibly surprised if Buchner beat Hartman out in a legit QB1 competition.
But I'd be lying to say Gator doesn't factor in.For a 10 week layoff , that was enormous potential we sawj.

Play the " you don't want to go to ND, no loyalty to QBs they recruit. And how many yrs of eligibility does TB have, you willing to risk transfer and lose maybe 3 yrs of TB for one yr. of Hartman, good luck with that.
Montana. I've not seen others say that and it is certainly not widespread if it is. They are mostly split on whether they like the idea of bringing in a transfer at that position or dealing with the growing pains for probably another 3-4 games with Buchner. They are worried about how it affects the QB room as a whole.
That post says he doesn't want to bring in any transfer QB, because in his dumbass opinion it will mess up our QB room, not because he thinks Buchner is Montana2.0.
Huge valley between the truth and the crock of shit you are pushing.

amp but why so aggressive? wow
until then I'll speak as if you're full of shit, not violent, just tired of dumbass posts acting like anyone who doesn't think Buchner is garbage must think he's the best thing ever.
