Only fifty seven other quarter backs had a higher completion. And none of them turned the ball over six times in a quarter. Or got sacked eight times in the game. Showing no mobility and this is your savior..
(no message)
He isn't about to turn into a butterfly all of a sudden. He's not getting any taller or faster or stronger.. he is what he is a mediocre QB who you guys are annointing as the chosen one.
Integral, not differential...,

Who is anointing him again? Point out the posters who are in love with Hartman so we can admonish them specifically.

Bye.
Because a breeze over his stats shows the most Ints he threw in an entire game last season was 3.
3 ints, 3 fumbles. What TJ won’t tell you (he probably never watched the game) was that 3 of the fumbles were from a LT that was getting so badly beaten the announcers didn’t know what to say.
1 int was his WR letting a perfect pass go through his hands, hit his helmet, bounce in the air, and get intercepted.
1 int wasn’t a great read but his WR also ran a terrible route.
1 int was 4th and 3 down a million and he was trying to make a play.
But none of that will fit the narrative. Oh, and I am a huge fan of Buchner and his ceiling and hope he can win the job.
the batted balls that were picked off against Arizona in 2014? And one interception was on one pass that Corey Robinson should have caught.

TJ: What is 3+3?

When they lose two out of three against the big boys.. let's see what they have to say then.

and all your problems on offense will be solved.
His not-so-great stats are unavoidable and yet, they're being avoided. Even the eye-test shows his throws
to wide open receivers are often way short of the mark or miss their mark altogether. A little could
probably be blamed on the system he played in but then that too is a big concern not to mention
having to learn an entire playbook, new offense system that takes several seasons to pick up, in a few short months.
Not to mention he's gone after a few months and ND is still in the deep ravine of not having a
coached up starting QB on the roster. Short-term thinking and short-term memory.
That being said: maybe Freeman and Rees will surprise us and have him as a back-up and that
was their intention all along (I don't see it but - stranger things have happened in this world).
Of course I hope Hartman does great, but why should I expect him to outperform his recruiting profile?
To me the question is whether or not a 3 star, low 4 star, QB can be successful in ND's system. All the hyperbole around him is unwarranted at this point. If he's used correctly, I'm sure the upgrade to his supporting cast will help, but the upgrade to the schedule he's going against will be the real test.
Recruiting profiles are predictions made by people who are neither witches nor time travelers. They are the weathermen of sports. They do an ok job a lot of the time, and then there are the times when they tell you it's shorts weather and it snows 5 inches.
If you don't believe me, ask JOK what he thinks of recruiting profiles.
Also Jim lives in a halfway house and has to post from the library. You can only expect that he'll respond to you on days when he isn't being punished for pooping his pants and those days are few and far between. You seem to have caught him on one of those days. Congrats.
I'm just making the point that there isn't much to make anyone think that Hartman is anything more than his recruiting profile predicted him to be. A decent QB at a mid-tier school. I'm not commenting on the recruiting industry. Who knows how he'll do at ND and the hyperbole reminds me of the same bs that accompanied Freeman being named HC. Not saying people shouldn't be hopeful, but a dose of reality shouldn't piss everyone off.
Got a good chuckle from your JB comments, although I agree with his post.
Most people are happy the QB room has good competition. Meanwhile TJ is running around acting like Hartman fucked his wife and killed his dog.
My biggest problem the criticism of Hartman given who else we have in the room. If you look at Hartman and look at Buchner and look at Pyne, and then try to tell me Buch or Pyne are appreciably better, you're a damn fool.
you think Hartman is likely to win the job, it equals he is a savior.
So it turns into you have to either think he's a savior or he's the biggest turd who's ever thrown a ball....ever!
While the truth is so simple, he's a 3-4 star recruit who outperformed his star ranking and because of his experience level, if he was coming out of HS right now he would likely be a 5 star recruit.
It's an upgrade and upgrades are a good thing, period.
I’m just chalking it up to Off-season nonsense posts.

You'd rather have a 5*, cannon for an arm guy like JT Daniels, Spencer Rattler or Mitch Mustain. Understandable, they all look fantastic in shorts and t-shirts.
BTW, you may wanna look into who SH was throwing to and who was protecting him before throwing stones. Can't fix stupid, but you can fix ignorant, look into it.

Color me not impressed. In wake Forest gimmicky offense.. When he's throwing fifty fifty balls and relying on the receivers to bail h out..

TD passes over 20 yards and TD to Int ratio?
...you F'ing moron.

… and post something new for a change?
Kelly ideas still reeking havoc on ND football. The shadow looms large.
You are comparing a completely immobile QB who lost his job before transferring to ND (lost it to a guy who we didn't want because he's not close to as good as Hartman) and who in his entire career before coming to ND threw 23 TDs, to a very mobile QB who started since he was a freshman and has thrown over 100 TDs.
This is a terrible comparison Jim, Coan was ultra low hanging fruit at the time (transfered because he lost his job) while Hartman was highly desired and could have gone about anywhere he wanted and would likely start everywhere except a handful (or less) of places.
You've said some stupid shit over the years Jim but this comparison may take the cake.
at ND better QB's. It's just not true - Experience in games can actually only happen - By Being In Games!
AND PS: Go Fuck Yourself!
It's called practice dipshit and despite what some on here think, it does matter.
Only a moron would do that and note, being a backup receiving a fraction of practice time as the starter does is the same as in game experience.
Well Done, Mr. Too stupid for words.
Again: go fuck yourself. It’s almost like you want to challenge ColeyO for the annual Dumbshit award here at UHND. There are a lot of you vying for it and you're looking to come in second.
You act like a player can't develop as a backup which is completely fabricated bullshit on your part.
Both college and pros are littered with situations where a backup was developed while they were a backup and they were ready to go when they moved to #1.
..too many times to even count.
