Bob Knight and Lou Holtz —Different breed of coaches. Wonder how they would do in today’s world.

He's such a DIK.
I'm not sure why you would compare the 2???

How was Bobby Knoght a racist?
maybe the greatest basketball coach ever. The vast, vast majority of the players who played for him love the man and know they have him whenever they need him. Nearer the end of his career, when athletes went a lot softer and coaching changed, good players no longer wanted to play for a hard coach and his talent level at Indiana dropped to where he didn't have the talent to compete for national championships. Still, they were always very respectable because of how well they were coached and how well they played the game. This was also the time when his temper got the better of him a few times. Those actions are not to be respected or emulated and they should not be tolerated. But to make any case that those few actions encapsulate his life's work is unfair. And to call him a racist is even worse.

Even Shaq himself said so, and took what Knight said as the best of compliments.

To this day I am disappointed in Knight.
