5 stars matter.

I've read no one from the staff has seen him in Chicago for several months.

Are we convinced he's a good recruiter? I know MF said every coach has to be a good recruiter to be here. Has Washington pulled anyone in?

Until two things happen. It really doesn’t matter. They sign on the dotted line, and then they enroll at Notre Dame..
Is a god damn 3*, who has barely played organized football. Bad recruiting. This entire Defensive staff, outside of Mickens, is useless.

Just take the class in the summer. Everyone knows, summer classes are a joke. And if he can’t do it in the summer, get the kid a tutor. As someone who got an A in calculus in college, it’s a useless class.
I’m tired of all the excuses, if a kid had a functional brain, a decent work ethic and wants to be at ND, figure it out. Or just get out of major football and join the Ivy League. All of this pussy ass excuse making is old.
I think there is literally a freshman math class that was called “fun with numbers” just like there was a science class
Called “rocks for jocks”
Please stop acting like this is Harvard or MIT
To put it this way, most athletes are going to take bonehead calculus their first semester, and then finite mathematics the second semester. Many liberal arts majors take this sequence as well, just to get the math requirement out of the way.
That calculus class is so stripped down, that as long as you've had high school algebra, you can easily pass it even without the benefit of having access to test files.
I’ve known a few guys that have done it. Including one that’s a really recognizable/well like player. He was an average B level student in college prep courses in HS. Not dumb, but not a genius. He got by just fine.
It’s certainly hard making the adjustment from HS to ND, but they have tons of resources to make that transition as easy as possible.

Catholic school kid from Chicago to Miami. Seriously. Would like to know what the kid sees especially since he was in the verge of committing months ago.
I am not picking on the kid. Do your thing and go where u want to but just out if curiosity sake it would be interesting to know.
And we wonder why we really don’t get top tier talent like Georgia or Alabama…this is the type of kid u would think we would get.

That’s the answer. He wasn’t even part of POG last yr. And now, they have to settle for Sevillano. Meaning the ‘24 class is the abortion of 3* on Defense. There’s a very good chance the final D class looks like:
DL- Thomas 4*, Mullins 3*, Sevillano 3*, Wafle low 4*, Young 4*
LB- Rezac- low 3*, Kahoun 3*, House 3*
Cb- Hobbs- 3*, Moore- low 4*
S- Urlacher 3*, Andrews 3*, Miles 3*
That’s fuckin pathetic. Freeman should be on the hot seat for that disaster. He was hired to be an elite recruiter and that class sucks ass.
I'd say...
Holtz 2
Davie 4
Willingham 11
Weis 4
Kelly 9

Also, Holtz seemed to basically have a smaller recruiting scale and strictly recruited the top 150 player in the country for 80% of his tenure.

And school requirements have to have some affect. We can’t pretend we can get whomever we want But this players situation is interesting. NIL has to be a big factor.
School matter to a lot of kids and parents but NIL has to hurt. No question.
Also, maybe this kid wants to fo somewhere warmer.
move away from home?
I have two teenagers, seems like their generation is all about the Benjamin's. "Why do I need to go to college at all, so and so influencer didn't."
