While I agreed with the gaffe callout, I wouldn't have put the Trump 'whattabout' link in had it not
been for Nigel's over-the-top histrionics about it and attempt to treat it as anything more than what it was...it reminded me of the FOX"news" non-stop insanity over Obama's "Tan Suit"...virtuhan ally every politician has fallen victim to such slips...some more than others (e.g. DJT)...let's pay more attention to the full content of what's being communicated...although I realize that with all the chaos going on amongst conservatives right now, it's hard to not seize on anything that will distract from it.
btw, I sincerely doubt that South Korea is going to sever its relationship with the U.S. over that "incident"...let's try to get real...she deserves some time on Babylon Bee and SNL, but that's about it.

Nigel went "non-linear" over a simple and obvious gaffe...which virtually all politicians have fallen victim to at one time or another...just to emphasize to him that VP Harris was not alone in this malady, I made him look at his chosen Pol's numerous examples...is it "Whattaboutism?"...yes, and I pointed it out...not to deflect from the VP's error, but rather to put the whole thing in proper perspective...that's the way I see it...you're free to disagree.
IMO, "Whattaboutism" has it's place when not used to avoid acknowledging a misstep or failure by one side/person, but rather to maintain perspective...too often I'm seeing it used by posters here who won't see the "Plank in their own eye".
Kamal Harris is a very intelligent former prosecutor who's 'ethos' is properly set...I'm sure the people she interacts with know this and are pleased to conduct business with her on the international stage.
So, yes you agree with Chris you can use it for GOP, but not in reverse.

like Nigel tried to do...gaffes are simply awkward slips by many Pols (including Trump)...they can definitely be called out for what they are...but not for what they aren't...using the record of DJT's 'misspeaks' merely illustrates that any Pol can make a simple error like that...and that's all I wanted to get across to him, you and all others...I think I made my point.
