This is one of those topics where politicians tell people how they should feel about it and then you have your outliers on both sides.
It's easy for scum Republicans to associate weed with hippies from the old days and crack heads so even though their families smoke all the time it's the only negative they can find against Dems. As opposed to legal alcohol that is associated with cocktails and not drunken bums in the street and drunk driving deaths. When's the last time a driving death was linked to weed?
Or is it just about revenue?
There are risks and there are benefits.
