"My own song 'Alabama' richly deserved the shot Lynyrd Skynyrd gave me with their great record. I don't like my words when I listen to it. They are accusatory and condescending, not fully thought out, and too easy to misconstrue."
Words we should all take to heart.
"Ohio" and "Revolution Blues" about the Manson gang.
You're cool with what happened at Kent St?

Freedom of expression, which is exact opposite what you ladies, big tech, the Ds, and the MSM support. When it comes to the America bad theme, lefties are all high and mighty on freedom of expression. I can see through you all a mile away. . Bet you don't feel the same about Skynyrd's "Red, White & Blue". BTW, fat boy druggie Crosby told Neil that the Manson song was not a good idea. Neil did it anyway. Nothing like having a privilidged Canadian lecture America about it's history. Is old Neil going to write a song about blackface Trudeau and the persecution of Christians and Canadian truckers? Or maybe old Neil shutting down his music on Spotify because he doesn't like differing opinions. C'mon Neil, where the hell are you?
since their first album. The tragic deaths of the band members will always be remembered as a dark time in American music history.
As for Neil Young’s, Southern Man, it was and is a strong reflection on the American south’s racial struggles. Ronnie Van Zant needed to not say anything about Young’s lyrics as it only pointed out the closed mindedness of the southern man.
As for your politics on the Canadian truckers stupidity only exemplifies how little you use your brain.
On a day when American Rocker’s remember the powerful and talented Lynyrd Skynyrd band you’re too willing to tread on ground all too trampled years ago.
Neil's views were spot on but Ronnie's wasn't? Neil didn't mention in his little finger pointing lecture of a song the Dem's Jim Crow laws or the Dem's KKK connection or the Dem's support of slavery. This just exemplifies how little you and your lefty pals use your collective brains. Old Neil supports the farmers apparently, but not the truckers who deliver the farmer's products. Selective outrage. Hey Neil, you out there somewhere or you still mad bro about Joe Rogan?

Playlist and now I have my son listening to them. We took a friend of his to Sanibel last year for vacation and it was awesome to hear both of them singing along to Free Bird and a few other of their songs. You have to start them young on good music.
