...had Biden and the Left not created the environment to draw out the beast (link), or if they had given meaningful aid pre-invasion to discourage it, or if Biden hadn't said that their was a limited amount of invasion that the US would tolerate.....then this entire war could have been avoided and we would not be the closest that we have been to nuclear war since the Cuban Missile Crisis.
Way to go Brandon! Take credit now you losers for that which you didnt want to do (give real military aid to Ukraine), and even then did only incrementally over time where earlier support could have been crucial.
Remember and vote.

he tried to withhold military support from Ukraine for his own political ends...then followed that up with praise for Putin's 'genius' in invading Ukraine?...you then turn around and vilify Biden for providing thousands of highly effective missiles to Ukraine so rapidly (like in those first few days) that Putin failed in his attempt a a quick victory...who are you really for...Ukraine or Russia...or neither because you only want Trumpism to flourish?...not sure there's a good explanation for your remarkable contradiction in thought.

..."a policy that is working".
This war could have been avoided if we had better leadership and Putin hadn't been made to think that he could get away with it. All along, I have been in favor of helping Ukraine, and i was very frustrated by the slow process in which Biden had to be led to do so. Other countries even had to jump in to lead.
It is definitely on Putin, not Biden, that he invaded. But it is on Biden for letting the beast out of his cage. But at the very least, don't beat your chest about "a policy that is working".

did he not quickly provide thousands of very effective weapons, like Javelin anti-armor missiles that helped turn Putin's brief "Special Mission" into an 8 month, and counting, debacle?...has Biden not continued to supply even more effective weapons (HIMARS) and training to Ukraine?...are we not staunchly allied with Ukraine?
How do you turn a friendly offer to the leader of a small nation facing impending capture by a much larger foe into a reason for voting against him?...contrast all this with Baron's on-going support for Trump who continues to praise Putin...never once voicing an objection to the wanton killing of innocent Ukrainians...what kind of mind works this way?
Putin's invasion has bogged down, and it has been kept contained.
But Baron can't possibly acknowledge that, obviously.
Russia's special operation never intended a regime change. Russia want negotiation, need a legitimate Ukraine government to talk to.
But now everything has changed. Russia gave up any hope to talk to Z.
Russia apparently demonstrated that it “wanted negotiation” by invading.
I don’t know how you inhabit the same planet as the rest of us.

I think both left and right agree with baron on this point now. And apparently you do too. You just made it sound like you disagreed with him.
As to your point, Putin obviously miscalculated. He thought he could take more land by force, and he underestimated the Ukrainian desire to fight, and he overestimated his bumbling military.
