Vaccines kept people out of hospitals and morgues, even when the virus mutated to be more transmissible...but not more deadly...

My post is totally relevant to what PM Trudeau was urging Canadians to do...and what some truckers refused to acknowledge.

test for C19. In Japan, they followed their leader and did what appears to have been the right thing.

Having family living in Ottawa at the time of the trucker's blockade the firsthand info was how they made life miserable for
the towns people because they didn't want to do the right thing. And here in the US many cheered on the Truckers when they really
had no dog in the fight. Truckers here were angry at Trudeau because he forced all who crossed the border into Canada, at first
needed to be serving a very essential need then when vaccines became available all crossing the border now needed not only to be
essential, but vaccinated and tested (PCR) withing 72 hours of arriving at the border and you could only be in the country a specific amount of time
with a place to isolate without coming into direct contact with the population. This didn't sit well with Americans -
Thank Tucker Carlson for his bullshit to help keep the stupidity of the "Canadian" trucker blockade flowing.

Thing is, if you had family in Canada but were not a Canadian, you could not cross the border no matter how dire the circumstances might
have been. That was rough for all. And even if you carried a Canadian passport, if you did not have residence in Canada, you were denied
entry until over a year later once the borders were closed.

Moreover, the truckers were being PAID to conduct their obstruction, while the good citizens of Ottawa had to take the full brunt of their ill-chosen protest in their pocket books as well as peace of mind (e.g. truck horns blaring at odd hours).

Face it...you're wrong on this one.

You know that those involved in the strike were a small % of truckers in Canada and this had to do with
border crossings from US into Canada.

The blockade was more of an American far right-wing fantasy trip.

The Canadian gov't did their best to keep the communications open, but the knuckleheads were too stupid to listen
a lot like you only they got the message but you're still on that fantasy ride.

In the end, there were very few truckers (by percentage) and they were unable to articulate their demands and their points of view.
In fact, no one has ever been sure what they were actually protesting.

But the one fact came from it, they settled on the point, they didn't want to be vaccinated and didn't want to be tested and didn't want to
quarantine upon arriving back home but most they were spurred on by American truckers and by American far-right media (Carlson).

PS: many of the truckers had - you can't make this shit up (well you could) - Confederate flags flying. Also, it appears it was one big
drinking and pot party for several weeks.
