Had to watch in pieces due to the length. Difficult to watch (mostly depressing). I could tell that much of it was extremely well done. The visuals and setting looked incredibly convincing. The characters all seemed appropriately developed. And the story certainly drove its intended point home.
Could have done without some of the tangent stories that didn't seem necessary and lengthened the film (the underwear?). But I thought it was obviously well-made.
It's amazing how movie technology often puts the viewer in the moments of the film creating a realistic reaction unlike years ago.
I was hoping American Rust would see its way back to production but I think that ship has sailed. Too bad.
