To stop "disinformation," of course

Silly rubes getting worked up over a government official seeking to suppress bad speech.

Then we truly are just voting to see if we end up with a leftist or rightist autocracy.
Are you truly this far gone that you can see the problem here?! Do you understand the meaning of a “Banana Republic”? Will you again try to find some excuse to say that this is “totally different”?

Hence, the Government is free to monitor what one puts out to the world to read.
If the Government can read what one posts, they are free to tattle tale and notify and ask the platform to terminate the terms of service agreement with the subscriber.
The platform makes a business decision where they draw the line with their terms of service rules. That is a question of contract law.

Because that’s what happened here.
I seriously don’t know how the country survived.
Glad to see you condone Trump doing this, though.

You've got to know when to walk away.
doesn't follow their suggestions. The EPA, IRS, DOJ, FDA and now the FBI have powers that exceed their usefulness and now more political than agnostic.

with twitter and then moves to message boards.
Some might say "semi-fascist".

This wasn't a private company acting alone.
The monsters of history didn't act alone. They controlled the media and the controlled law enforcement. Collusion between media and law enforcement to suppress the rights of US citizens are the ingredients for real oppression. The tools that these platforms provided to the DHS are the building blocks of fascism. This isn't something to be flippant and cute about.
Glad to see the right-wing hyperbole machine is still churnin out the hits.

The monsters of history!
Your tactic of attacking the flowery language, while avoiding the substance of the discussion, is bullshit and you know it. We aren't on the middle school debate team. Diversionary tactics make adults seem incapable.
I'd give you points if you are least attempted humor...or showed any sign of life at all.
"It was a revelation when @ShellenbergerMD found that Twitter had been paid over $3 million by the feds. Based on how many content requests they appear to have fulfilled for the FBI, it now looks like they were severely underpaid."
I don't know how any of this can be legal. If it is legal, we have fucked up somewhere along the way because I don't know how you can interpret this as anything other than infringement on the First Amendment.
These things are done in large part to gauge what sort of opposition will form to their schemes. From this, they decide when to scale back and wait and they decide how quickly they can start to overturn long-established traditions and precedents. Take the DHS Ministry of Truth board. DHS hired a demented birdbrain who advertises her one-woman misinformation/disinformation machine on social media weekly, and they had to pull back on it...temporarily. Honorable Liar Mayorkas himself testified before Congress that the board has not been liquidated, just "tabled." They will eventually come up with something in some form that will be given the same mission as it was originally given, but packaged differently. They have recognized their error and will place someone in a leadership role eventually who comes off as boring as vanilla.
They still have Facebook and Google/YouTube, both of which communicated dozens of times with federal officials about content moderation on their platforms.

We need outrage from both sides.
His summary is supported by the ignorant twits throughout the country that are dismissing or ignoring this problem.
